The Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter provides free educational programs, support services and care consultations across the Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, Tulare, Kings and Inyo counties while also supporting critical research towards a cure.
Vision
A world without Alzheimer’s and all other Dimentia®
Commitments:
- Impact: Through our many initiatives and worldwide reach, the Alzheimer’s Association leads the charge in Alzheimer’s care, support, research and advocacy.
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: The Association is committed to providing all communities with resources and education.
- Governance and Financial Transparency: We maintain our independence and safeguard against outside influence while working with ethical companies, organizations and individuals that share our mission.
- Research: Our commitment to accelerating the global effort to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias is at the core of all we do.
Mission:
Empowering struggling individuals to a fresh start by providing life-changing essentials and performing random acts of kindness.
Core Values:
The work we do for these families all starts with our core values in mind.
- Transformation: Individuals and communities are transformed into ones with dignity and wholeness through a spiritual, social, economic, and physical change.
- Sustainability: Lasting impact is realized through locally sustainable programs and services administered by our partners.
- Empowerment: Families are grateful to have a place to call home. They are motivated to get back to work without the stress of wondering where they’ll sleep or what address they can put on a job application.
- Collaboration: The means of development are demonstrated through partnering with the local community, like-minded organizations, and individuals. With our partner Chase bank we will aid them financial literacy to maintain their home properly after being homeless.
The needs present in today’s world are complex and deeply interconnected. Our program areas complement one another and act as a comprehensive response to poverty.
