The NAR Code of Ethics ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests.
REALTORS® are required to complete Code of Ethics training every three years. The current cycle is January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024.
To satisfy the Code of Ethics Training requirement, your training must be at least 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time and meet specific criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
Failure to complete Code of Ethics training may result in account suspension.
Existing members have multiple options for satisfying your Code of Ethics training requirement.
- Take the free Code of Ethics Course through NAR
- Complete the free C2EX Endorsement through NAR
- Take the Code of Ethics Course through The CE Shop
*New REALTOR® members are required to complete Code of Ethics training within 120 days of joining by taking the New Member Course online through NAR.
