The 190,000-member strong CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) is hosting the 2026 Homeownership Matters Gubernatorial Forum in Downtown Sacramento.
As housing has taken center stage in California politics and policy, C.A.R. President Tamara Suminski and CEO Phil Hawkins will host leading gubernatorial candidates to discuss their proposed solutions to California’s housing crisis. Media are invited to attend and listen to candidates’ plans to address the state’s housing shortage and expand pathways to homeownership.
Homeownership remains central to building strong communities and creating economic mobility and long-term stability for Californians. Yet too many families, especially first-time buyers, continue to feel shut out due to high prices, limited inventory and constrained opportunities. Through its Homeownership Matters campaign, the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® is elevating these challenges and advancing solutions.
